Vintage Painting of San Francisco
I picked up this sweet painting of a cable car overlooking the golden gate bridge at a thrift store in my town just a few days ago. The frame was not in good condition, but the painting itself is perfectly fine so removed it from the frame. Judging by the frame and the style of the painting I'm going to guess that it was done in the 70's, possibly a little earlier or later by a street vendor like the ones that were typically lining the streets around Fisherman's Wharf and just below Ghirardelli Square. Of course it's only a guess as to its exact origins because there is no signature, but this is much like what I remember during the early 70's.
